BDSMProfessionals.com is a fast-growing, high-quality hub for the more serious and traditional FemDom, Dominatrix, Mistress, Domina, Goddess, Master, or submissive and those who seek us. All the higher quality, modern directories are either exclusively for or primarily oriented toward escorts or hybrid providers. There is no such equivalent for those of us who offer classic BDSM and kink.
With the immediacy the internet provides there comes those who hope to "get rich quick". From this has been a rise in the existence of the "Insta-Domme". These types of providers usually know little, if anything, about BDSM. What is offered is largely fetish play, most often "FinDom". The idea of fast cash with little to no work is naturally appealing to people, even some committing fraud to do it. This mentality proliferates spaces online and influences people's perceptions about what BDSM actually is.
Here at BDSM Professionals we would like to remind everyone that BDSM is a rich culture with history and traditions. The goal of the site is to curate a list of professionals who are serious about BDSM.
The initial focus is to add providers but we are also adding studios for rent and makers and sellers of fetish clothing and gear.
WHAT MAKES BDSMPROFESSIONALS.COM DIFFERENT?
One important difference is that every provider listed here has had basic vetting. This is to ensure the directory serves it's purpose to showcase those offering classic BDSM but also to keep it from becoming populated with amateurs or scam artists. Aside from checking that each provider offers relevant activities, all listings must be accompanied by a personal website with a custom domain, both to show a basic commitment to the profession and because it is rare that frauds have one.
Another is that, unlike other directories, there are no escorts or escorting services listed here. This has nothing to do with how we feel about escorts or escorting but we simply need our own space: something exclusively for BDSM/fetish providers. There are already directories for our escort colleagues!
Additionally, this site is created and run by a fellow professional Dominatrix and FemDom, who genuinely cares about the community, rather than various entities trying to profit from us and then kicking us to the curb.
WHY SHOULD I GET LISTED HERE?
In my years as a professional Dominatrix, I have seen providers who don't always know how to reach their prospective clientele, or prospective clientele who don't know how to reach their sought-after Dominant, submissive, or switch. BDSM providers may advertise in spaces that attract clients that are unsuitable for them, such as escort directories, or in places where they are much less likely to be found, such as chat rooms or boards. These spaces aren't known to everyone, may be frequented by few people, and don't have good placement in search engines -- if they're indexed at all. The effect is like going to a small-town bar in the middle of nowhere and asking the 7 people that come there every night to book you. It leads to many missed opportunities.
Since I began creating websites in 1996 I have learned some valuable things about how people use them, and the internet in general. By applying this knowledge to this site, my hope is that this can be a resource for people, studios, and goods to be found.
